MYSTE AURA KINGDOM
The homeland of the Zora and Hypello people, the Middle Continent is a mountainous region ruled by a monarchy, the kingdom extending up till the Nashee Archipelago. There are many lakes and seaside towns, with the largest cities build high above sea level or underwater. Indeed, the magical and technological prowesses of the Myste Auran have led them to build underwater cities protected by artificial Magitek domes. The climate does not vary much and is typically cool. Many appreciate the lush landscape and quiet atmosphere. Royal City of Myste AuraPopulation: Zora (50%), Humans (35%), Hypello (10%), Moogles (3%), Others (2%). Places of Interest: Government of Myste Aura Kingdom, Submarine Exploration Temple, Magitek Knight Guild, Bard Guild The kingdom’s capital is built high in the mountains where clouds are formed. It has plenty of hot springs and underwater settlements built in, which only those who can breathe underwater can access. A quiet town that loves musics of all genres, it is reputed as one of the world’s cultural center. The scholars of the city aim to synthesize the ancient knowledge of magic and the new breakthroughs in science to create something entirely new. They have cooperated with the Curti Center quite closely in recent years, believing the Interdimensional Cloud holds the answers they need to achieve new breakthroughs. |
LavodePopulation: Hypello (55%), Zora (35%), Others (10%) Places of Interest: Hypello History Museum, Shoopuf Rental, White Mage Guild, Red Mage Guild A city that most residents treat as a vacation spot due to the expensive, high-class stores here. The city was founded and is run by Hypello, who both own the top brands and Shoopuf Rentals . They say the Hypello mayor of this city holds a place in his heart for all whose profession is to rent transportation to adventurers, resulting in him being merciless toward those who would dare rent a such a thing and accidentally destroy it, causing poor Hypellos to go bankrupt and know lives of misery. Those that live in the city have taken pride in their history of high end products, especially their wines. Their regional sport is fencing, and it is said that the Red Mage guild was founded by nobles who wished to expand their skillset. |
Ka’PandolPopulation: Zora (70%), Hypello (25%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Ancient History Museum, Hypello Shop, Necromancer Guild, Puppet Master Guild An underwater city built on the edge of the seas controlled by the Myste Aura Kingdom. This is the population center of the Zora, who also host the annual Blitzball tournament, and they have designed a series of cable cars and water tubes above the buildings for ease of travel. The sights are breathtaking, but it might take some getting used to for land dwellers, especially as the pressure is quite high in the underwater city. |
Amico Singing Association As the Bard Guild grew, some residents started resenting certain of the most vocal members for their constant singing. In an effort to let those who want to sing all day long do as they please without ruining everyone’s ears, the Amico Singing Association was created. A small building with all the necessary facility, it is recommended for visitors to bring earmuffs with them if they wish to have any peace and quiet. |
Mad’ni Shrine Built upon the ruins of an ancient forgotten Temple, the Mad’ni Shrine is a place where the people of the Myste Aura kingdom go to purify themselves and strengthen their magic. These old rituals are not followed by the masses any more these days, thus the shrine fell into disuse, but a handful of devoted still work there every day. |
Ar’Dynian SeaMonsters: Octopus, Merrow, Zadom
A treacherous sea, compasses and other means to keep track of one’s location do not work, making it very dangerous to pass this sea with anything but an airship. The weather is subject to very frequent changes and sea monsters are said to attack people embarked on ships fairly frequently. |
Tatlin Fields / Zeruda FieldsMonsters: Elemental (Yellow), Geezard, Mimic, Ochu These fields cover most of the Myste Aura continent and used to be peaceful and quite places until monsters surfaced. Monster attacks are rare for the most part, as soldiers of the kingdom keep the fields safe, but it is still wise to exercise caution and to not venture through them unarmed. Nashee ArchipelagoMonsters: Elemental (Yellow), Geezard, Sagahin, Touch Me To the south of the continent, one will find the Archipelago where the Amigo Singing Association is based. A formerly quiet island chain with stunning sights, including several waterfalls, monsters have become very active in this place. ANCIENT OKTAVIAN STATE What was once a collection of city-states has become a large nation that governs the diverse peoples. The land is primarily ruled by a Triumvirate of business people, namely the most influential businessmen of the three main cities composing the ancient state. That said, each city has some form of self-government depending on location. This is the wealthiest nation in the world and it is usually considered to be the leader in new technologies and entertainment. Von OktaviaPopulation: Moogles (30%), PuPu (30%), Lalafells (30%), Other (10%) Places of Interest: Government of the Ancient Oktavian State, Mognet Central, Paladin Guild, Dark Knight Guild Residents call this The City of the Future - and what a sight it is! The skyscrapers are the most beautiful in the world, and the greatest architects come here to show their works. The city hosts many conventions for book lovers, artists, and teenagers obsessed with fictional characters. The country is run by a PuPu, a Moogle, and a Lalafell who have their own method of defense and secrecy: the government building uses short door frames and the halls and rooms and designed for the smaller races. Humans will have a hard time trying not to bump their heads and crawling through the floors if they ever want to talk to the leaders in person. The Director of Mognet is the most influential person in this city and is said to be the richest person in the world. |
Sparks GolsauciaPopulation: Moogles (45%), PuPus (45%), Lalafells (5%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Attractions, H.C.F.T.W.H.T.W. (Help Center For Those Who Hate This World), Convention Center, Tactician Guild, Dancer Guild Because of the Tactician's Guild, businessmen have found that they can receive great economic advice in their corporate dealings, and this city houses the financial centers of the world. This has led to what were once two cities to merge into one, becoming the most populous city in the world. Massive entertainment venues spring up, including PuPuland, the gigantic theme park that hosts thrill rides, games, and plenty of gambling outlets. However, residents tend to complain about the seedy entrepreneurs in the streets and in the skyscrapers. At least the nightclubs are fantastic. |
Hisan CityPopulation: Humans (70%), Lalafells (25%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Wildlife Center, H.C.F.T.W.C.U.J. (Help Center For Those Who Cannot Use Jobs), Industrial Center, Monk Guild, Gourmand Guild A city that has grown in response to the cities in the mainland, Hisan City as an array of artisinal food vendors and specialty breweries. The locals think of themselves as ‘trendsetters’ and they prefer small, locally owned businesses as opposed to chains and large corporations. This city is also home to the help center for what few unfortunate souls cannot use Jobs. Some cannot because their body reject the Job Crystals upon trying to be infused with one, others do not use them by choice. Their favorite pass-time is to throw stones at each other out of self-deprecation. Whilst this may sound sad, at least they’re having fun together. |
I.B. Magitek Tower The I.B. Magitek Tower is the pinnacle of Oktavian technology. Built upon the ruins of an ancient and forgotten Temple, the tower is comprised of the latest technology and is purposively built to one day reach outside the atmosphere. I.B stands for “Industrial & Biomagical”. |
Rosey Industrial Site Built south of Hisan City, the industrial site is where dangerous construction operations are conducted, with the products moved to the city once things are safe. |
Death PoolMonsters: Bomb, Medusa, Touch Me A beautiful and gigantic natural pool, the Death Pool got its name due to the abnormally high death rate occurring to visitors that dare to wade in its waters. Indeed, it is said those who head for the Death Pool will never come back alive, a place of eternal rest for those who lost the will to live. |
Tsu Bom SeaThe Tsu Bom Sea separates the mainland from Bahr Kip Island. It is a very peaceful sea with very little trouble ever happening upon it, as it is said an Eidolon watches over its waters. Sakura ForestMonsters: Cockatrice, Mimic, Wyvern The Sakura Forest is a splendid forest east of Von Oktavia. Said to be home to an ancient Eidolon, few monsters dare venture inside. Those that do however tend to be powerful, hence caution is advised when venturing into the forest. Bahr Kip IslandMonsters: Brigands (Night) This island was the last to be annexed to the Ancient Oktavia State and became the productive core of the country. It is where rare materials can be found and where most dangerous operations are conducted. Whilst there are no monsters per say on the island, brigands have made camps and attack those who venture outside of settlements at night. Yuri FieldsMonsters: Bomb, Elemental (Black), Geezard, Skeleton The Yuri Fields mark the border of the Ancient Oktavia State. Monsters are rare and scarce around the plains, as patrols regularly clean out the area. REPUBLIC OF SAFER A cold land with the lowest population of the five major countries, the people have little time for idle hobbies. It boasts the strongest military, partially because they need their people to be strong to protect themselves against the perceived threats of the Northern Expanse. The land’s technological advancement are mostly focused on surviving through the harsh conditions and finding new ways to support the population. Whilst foreign nations fear the military’s advances of the republic might lead to war, it has been a peaceful nation for as long as can be remembered. Safer OsuPopulation: Elezen (50%), Human (40%), Moogles (5%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Government of the Republic of Safer Osu, Airship Rental, Berserker Guild, Dragoon Guild The harsh lands of Safer bring forth the Spartan, harsh capital city where generals meet. The government building is one of the most secure places in the world, as the people must learn to cope with the dreadful winters. This is also the center of engineering innovation, with many buildings made of metal and a network of pipes driving energy across the city. It is said a Dragoon founded this city upon the corpse of a dragon he had felled, and the corpse of this dragon still exists as the energy source for the infrastructures. Whilst it is dubious for this legend to have any truth to it, it has helped forged the reputation of the city even further. |
Cloud CityPopulation: Elezen (60%), Human (20%), Moogles (15%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Military Garrison, Deep Cloud Observatory, Astrologian Guild, Illusionist Guild High in the clouds, this is where most Elezen live. They are masters of flight and prefer to be separated from the rest of the world as they study the stars and weather. The point of interest in this city is the Deep Cloud Observatory, from where the Interdimensional Cloud can be observed. Members of the Curti Center are allowed access and use the observatory to pinpoint those who are lost within the Cloud. It is also where regains and things of interests can be pinpointed, before a mission in the Interdimensional Cloud is started. |
Tark VarentainPopulation: Human (55%), Elezen (40%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Military Academy, Airship Purchase, Gunslinger Guild, Ninja Guild Located near the border of Safer Osu and the Northern Expance, Tark Varentain houses the Military Academy and barracks, where locals serve to better themselves in case of attack and keep an eye on the fort to the north. They are not trusting of outsiders, but will warm to them if they prove themselves worthy. The best firearms in the world can be bought in this city, and it is said there is a gun master serving in the Gunslinger Guild, who can improve and reforge any gun in existence. |
Arness Crystal Research The Arness Crystal Research Center was built by engineers from Oktavia and Min’To, paid for by the Republic of Safer to conduct research on crystals. As everyone knows, Crystals are the source of Jobs and the powers they confer unto those absorbing them, but little is known outside of their use in powering Magitek devices. This research center aims to discover the Crystals’s secrets. |
Armstrong Fort The Armstrong Fort is built right as the Claus Snowfields begin, marking the border where the Republic of Safer ends. A garrison is positioned there, dealing with any threat that might come from the uncharted territories, generally dangerous and powerful monsters. |
Dusty Sea The Dusty Sea took its name after the dust-like mist covering it at all times and making travel unpractical. Whilst there are no monsters inhabiting it, many are the ships that lost their way due to the inability to see. It is said the sea was once home to an eidolon that has since vanished. |
Nox PlainsMonsters: Dragon, Elemental (White), Gargoyle, Geezard, Long Gui, Wyvern The Nox Plains comprise the majority of the Republic of Safer’s territory, a realm where monsters are left running freely and are used as training for soldiers. In spite of the relative danger of the plains, there are plenty of settlements and inns to accommodate the constant flow of fighters training here, making it rather easy to find help when one needs it. Lake of IraMonsters: Adamantoise, Octopus, Sagahin, Zadom The Lake of Ira was built by Safer Osu as a replica of a grand lake spoken of in the legends of creation. Alas, being a replica, it pales in comparison to the grandeur spoken of in ancient tales. LANDS OF THE MIN’TO CROWN Once a great, expansive nation, the Oktavia State's economic power has lessoned. It remains the center of scholastic pursuit as well as one of the key trading place in the world. This desert nation has plenty of ruins and underground cities left over from ages of history. At the south lie sparse villages that are isolated from most of society. To the north is the border with the Sen Devadatta Empire and farming towns. It is usually where those who seek to explore the Ancient Ruins stop by before going on their quest. AritoPopulation: Lalafells (65%), Bangaa (30%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Government of the Min’To Crown, Tutu University, Chemist Guild, Scholar Guild, Summoner Guild Arito hosts the world’s oldest universities, with students coming all over the world to learn about history, sciences, arts, literature, and just about any other subject. Of course, there are sections of neighborhoods mostly comprised of students and stores that cater to their late-night stressful lives. Depending on where one lives, they are surrounded by bookstores and scholars or wild parties. It is also where the lore of Eidolons is kept and taught to apprentice summoners who wish to speak with the ancient beings. |
NakagawaPopulation: Lalafells (50%), Bangaa (20%), Humans (20%), Other (10%) Places of Interest: Chocobo Farm, Adventurers’s Office, Swordmaster Guild, Cavalier Guild A farming town on the border with kindly country folk. Most people here are ranchers who appreciate the natural beauty of their home as they ride their chocobos through the plains. As home to both the Swordmaster and Cavalier Guilds, Nakagawa is also reputed for being an excellent training place for would-be fighters, which has led to the rise of a prominent healer association to help all the poor fools who are faster to act than to think. |
Kiddilion Population: Bangaa (75%), Lalafells (20%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Shops for everything, Gemstone School, Geomancer Guild, Black Mage Guild An underground city designed as a series of tunnels and caverns. It also serves as the population of the Bangaa, who run the hundreds of artisan shops, both respectable and illegal. Due to the twisty nature of the city, many smugglers make their homes here. This city is special in that absolutely anything sold in the other cities can be found there: whether it is potions, airship parts or pets. But the prices are higher than in their respective hometowns, as a result of everything being in one place. |
Great McGard Library The Great McGard Library is where the rarest and most precious tomes of the Min’To Crown are kept. Built upon the ruins of an ancient and forgotten Temple, the Library reflects the style of its predecessor with lavish and rich decorations. |
Angh University The Angh University is a special university built outside of Arito for the sake of those who wish to study but can’t stand living in a busy city. Surrounding by fields and nature, it is a quiet place for nature lovers and those thirsty for knowledge. |
Thilmit Border Post The Border Post marks the end of the Lands of the Min’To Crown and the beginning of the Sen Devadatta Empire. It is run by both nations together and tends to be a relatively quiet and peaceful place, with guards killing time by playing Triple Triad. |
Milean SeaMonsters: Octopus, Merrow, Remora, Zadom The Milean Sea stands south of the continent and so happens to be infested by monsters. None know why, but it is suspected there might be something underwater causing monsters to gather and attack ships daring to sail across these seas. Neg’gi DesertMonsters: Bomb, Elemental (Red), Geezard, Golem The desert comprises most of the land between Arito and Nakagawa. Monsters aren’t the real danger here, but the heat and thirst that can kill any daring to wander for too long. It’s a shame the Oases in the desert are under the control of greedy Lalafells who will make you pay a limb and a half for a bottle of water. Lydeet PlainsMonsters: Apanda, Elemental (Blue), Sagahin, Touch Me The Lydeet Plains were artificially engineered by the Min’To crown to transform areas of the desert into a green and fertile land. Whilst it was a success, a regrettable side-effect was to leave the place susceptible to constant rainfall, which draws aquatic monsters from the nearby Milean Sea. Himur IslandMonsters: Adamantoise, Apanda, Malboro Himur Island stands close to the Ancient Ruins and as such is inhabited by powerful monsters originating from them, making on foot travel undesirable and very dangerous. SEN DEVADATTA EMPIRE Once a democracy, Sen Devadatta shifted to an imperial regime out of fear regarding the military growth of Safer Osu and following an onslaught of terrorist attacks by unknown parties. The Empress, formerly President, has kept the borders of her country closed for the past ten years in order to reestablish order. The Capital, Sen Riqeaux, is the largest and most splendid city in the entire world. Trading operations with the empire have increased of late, and the empire has opened its borders again in August, through visitors are required to fill out the proper paperwork before arriving for any visit. Sen RiqeauxPopulation: Human (60%), Lalafell (25%), Hypello (10%), Moogles (3%), Others (2%). Places of Interest: Government of the Empire, Time Mage Guild, Sky Pirate Guild, Templar Guild The Imperial Capital is one of the largest cities in the world. It used to be where adventurers and explorers from everywhere would gather and speak together, share information and sometimes even settle. After Lady Ramaa had to end the democracy and shift to an imperial regime due to the terrorist attacks that threatened Sen Devadatta, the city became something of a mystery to the rest of the world. The truth is that little has changed in the course of ten years. This city being particularly large has its own page. |
ArdyniaPopulation: Lalafell (50%), Human (35%), Zora (10%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: The Pyramid, Jester Guild, Wizard Guild A city bearing the name of the nearby sea, Ardynia is a place where the inhabitants excel at magic. The Jester and Wizard guilds are the pride of the people of Ardynia. People are fascinated by spellcraft and the process of creating new Jobs, with some of the most determined inhabitant having moved to Sen Riqeaux to pursue their research there. The main attraction is the pyramid, where murals depict the legends of old. The depicted legend doesn't seem all too accurate, as it depicts four heroes giving their life and dying, all in an attempt to help the next generation defeat the goddess of death. It is also where the Prime Minister lives when he doesn't stay in the castle. |
ParasrayaPopulation: Human (55%), Lalafell (40%), Others (5%) Places of Interest: Weapon Master Association, Hypello Shop, Archaeologist Guild, Catmancer Guild Parasraya is the city closest to the border, and as such it is not too uncommon to see traders pass by for business- Though few are those who manage to reach the city, fewer are those who are not expelled on sight by the authorities. And none are those who can stay too long due to the overwhelming amount of cats living in the city, doubtless a result of the Catmancers having opted to settle their guild there. Truly, it is impossible to take two steps in this city without being approached by a cat demanding to be pet. Take care not to mistake Catmancers for actual cats. Some wonder how the weapon masters and archaeologist can bear remaining there. This is where the Commandant of the Imperial Armies lives when he isn't at the castle. |
Crystal Temple Built upon the ruins of an ancient forgotten Temple, the Crystal Temple is dedicated to the study and research on crystalline entities. Crystals are believed to be crystallized form of life energy and memories, from which Jobs are then made. A lot of Ardynian work in this Temple and go back and forth between this place and Sen Riqeaux. |
Shakyamuni PlainsMonsters: Behemoth, Pigs, Iron Giant, Treants These plains run from Sen Riqeaux to Parasraya. A common urban legend says that sometimes, travelers were approached by a crying little girl asking them to sing for them. No sightings have happened in nearly twenty years and it is believed to be fool's talks. Purana FieldsMonsters: Treants, Raptor, Pigs, Wyvern West of the Imperial Capital are fields used mostly by the army and Job trainees to fight. ANCIENT RUINS The Ancient Ruins are a collection of broken islands on the southern hemisphere, where there is naught but ruins as far as the eyes can see. It is a paradise for scavengers and adventurers, as well as for researchers and archaeologists eager to pierce the secrets of the past to usher in a bright future. Because the Ancient Ruins host the most dangerous monsters in the worlds, only the best prepared adventurers should head there. Airships must be used with cautions and only the best pilots, as some of the monsters inhabiting the ruins can shoot down or destroy airships. Ela Nhor PortPopulation: Human (20%), Elezen (20%), Moogle (15%), Zora (15%), Bangaa(15%), Pupu (10%), Lalafell (5%) The Ela Nhor is small city that emerged from the need to have a somewhat safe place to fall back when exploring the Ancient Ruins, with no government of any kind overseeing it. As such, it is quite a dangerous place where outlaws can go and come as they please, but it is also the only safe heaven from monsters on the entire continent. |
Ruins of GenesisMonsters: Calamity Behemoth, Calamity T-Rex, Calamity Malboro Very little is known about the Ruins of Genesis. Those who managed to come back alive mentioned having seen the ruins of a splendid city and of a castle, but no more is known. As these ruins are inhabited by powered-up versions of the most powerful monsters to inhabit this world, it is likely this place will remain a mystery for a while longer. |
Ramuza Stone FieldA stone field where for mysterious reasons, Jobs do not work. Whilst there are no monsters there, people avoid it as they fear being without their Jobs, even if just for a moment. Twilight FrontierMonsters: Chimera, Iron Giant, Mimic, T-Rex, Raptor, Tonberry The Twilight Frontier is where the danger begins for any deciding to explore the Ancient Ruins. Whilst the frequency of monster attacks is low at the entrance, the deeper one goes in, the more monsters appear. More than that, the ruins are deadly as they are filled with traps and threaten to collapse on those who would dare adventure in. Hepshin SeaMonsters: Merrow, Medusa, Octopus, Remora, Wyvern, Zadom This sea is thought to be one of the most dangerous in the world, with monsters from the Ancient ruins attacking and ravaging ships passing by without mercy. Graveyard of TearsMonsters: Heroic Shadows It is said a grand war was once waged in this place. It is now a wasteland littered with fossilized corpses and ruins as far as the eye can see. The monsters found there are said to be the restless spirits of the heroes who died during the war, unable to find peace. UNCHARTED TERRITORIES The Northern Expanse, also known as the Uncharted Territories, comprises the northern continent, past the Claus Snowfields. None know what lies in the expanse, as the harsh weather conditions make it impossible to use airships to explore. Expeditions can only proceed by foot, and the monsters are fierce. But for how harsh the continent is, doubtlessly there are secrets to be found there. Claus SnowfieldMonsters: Elemental (White), Yeti The Claus Snowfields are where the uncharted territories begin. Anyone desiring to explore must start there, and the danger doesn’t come from the monster but finding one’s way amongst the never-ending snow storm. OTHERS Curti CenterPopulation: N/A Places of Interest: Interdimensional Cloud Exploration, Job Master Office, Airship Outfitter, Temporary Rooms The Curti Center is a neutral organization, where people from the five great nations work together to explore the Interdimensional Cloud. Cid, Biggs and Wedge handle exploration in the Interdimensional Cloud, and ought to be contacted before any missions are undertaken. |

Many poets and playwrights bring their work here, where various forms for performance art are accepted from puppet shows, vaudeville, and drama. The Chocobo Farms raise a variety of friendly breeds. |
Ghost City of B’AlesiaMonsters: Elemental (Black), Skeleton, Zombie Once a lively city bursting with activity, B’Alesia was abandoned as the people moved south and is now a ghost city, that just so happens to be inhabited by ghostly monsters. Doubtlessly there are interesting things the settlers left behind, but doubtlessly one would risk their life if they were to wander in. |
Nah Nami Reserve A wild life reserve maintained by a concerted effort between Oktavia and Min’To, with input from the Curti Center. Since the emergence of monsters, certain species have grown endangered and this reserve is where these endangered species are kept and protected from harm. |
Arc Triangle A zone in the Pyrrhic Sea where non ship or airship has ever returned from. Infamous for how dangerous it is, sailors and airship pilot all know to avoid this zone at all costs. The rest of the Pyrrhic Sea is calm, and is generally considered safe to travel through. |
Great Rodent IslandMonsters: Hamsters The place where Hamsters originate from. Little is known about this place as all those who dared venture in found a new career as hamster food. Cactuar IslandMonsters: Cactuars An Island where only cactuars live. They are very agile and quick to flee, making it hard to defeat them. It is said killing a hundred of them will reveal the secret of the cactuars, but this can’t be true, can it? Also, they are adorable, so why would you kill them? Ruby IslandMonsters:??? A newly discovered island in the middle of the Ladys Ocean. Researchers and adventurers who have gone there have yet to return, so it is an entirely unknown area. Ky Riu OceanMonsters: Dangler Fish, Octopus, Remora The winds blow west to east on the Ky Riu Ocean while also providing an abundance of seafood. Some fish are large enough to be mistaken for monsters - though they are just as difficult to take down as one. The seas are considered to be protected, so commercial water travel is restricted. Ladys OceanMonsters: Octopus, Remora, Zadom While calm when viewed from the shore of Bahr Kip Island, the waters of the Ladys Ocean are filled with monsters making travel to the Ancient Ruins perilous. Icy winds often blow ships in the sea and skies off-course, not to mention the monsters that lurk underneath. Lail OceanMonsters: Elemental (White), Merrow The waters of the Lail Ocean are treacherous due to the presence of spherical icebergs and ice-loving monsters. However, the waters are also considered to be quite beautiful, since the unique combination of light, atmospheric conditions, and ice result in dazzling colored lights appearing in the air above at dawn and dusk. Chronic SeaMonsters: Octopus, Zadom Unlike the other seas, the Chronic Sea does not waver from its patterns, this its name. Strong winds, storms, and even monster attacks happen in predictable cycles, making obstacles easy to avoid for experienced travelers. Rioj SeaMonsters: Merrow, Remora The strong currents in this sea are a boon to sailors and a danger to swimmers. Weaker sea monsters are usually swept away from the coast. This sea had not seen much travel during the decade of the Empire's isolation, but since trade has resumed, activity has returned to the Rioj's waters. Mueredy PlainsMonsters: Elemental (Black), Skeleton, Zombie A barren stretch of land between B'Alesia and the Yuri Fields. It is said that when B'Alesia was still occupied by the living, the plains were alive with flora and fauna. Now, the plains are populated with phantoms from B'Alesia and the monsters driven north by the guards patrolling the Yuri Fields, although there are occasionally sightings of a friendly bluish rodent in the distance. Holiday IslandsMonsters: None Places of Interest: Temple of ??? The Islands of Perpetual Holidays, or the ‘Holiday Islands’, have existed outside of Vaikuntha’s conscious perception since Vaikuntha’s inception. The barriers between the Islands and the rest of Vaikuntha only lower during Vaikuntha’s most special holidays. At all other times, even Vaikunthans who have traveled there forget that the islands exist. Your gil is no good here. Each of the islands work on a barter system, though the Christmas Island residents insist they are 'giving' and 'receiving'. Halloween Island- A civilization of perpetual Halloween celebrations. They wear costumes, consume all types of pumpkin foods, and until recently, they have been tasked with keeping King Moggle Mog sealed away from the rest of the world…. Christmas Island- A civilization of perpetual Christmas. It is always snowing, and all of the residents are cheery (except for a single hypello fellow, ignore him). They say Santa Claus himself founded the village but upon this island, and still used it as his base of operations to this day… Valentine’s Island- A civilization of perpetual Valentine’s Day. Everything is pink and red, and the chocolate and greeting card industries are booming! Love is in the air, and if you’re single, expect well-meaning locals to try their best to match-make and pair you off with other lonely singles... Easter Island- A civilization of perpetual Easter. Put on your Sunday Best, but watch your step! There are treats and treasures hidden all around. Mostly eggs and chocolates, but maybe occasionally something bigger can be found.
