Multiple sentient races inhabit the cities of Vakuntha and constitute the NPCs. They can be found in pretty much every major cities.

 HUMAN
Humans are the dominant sentient race in Vaikuntha, as far as politics are concerned. In sheer numbers, they are third after Moogles and Lalafells respectively. Like with every other sentient race, they can be found all over the world. They have in particular a taste for adventure, and tend to travel more than other species. Humans in the world of Vaikuntha are identical to those from the real worlds; aside from the fact some of them have a Job and the powers that go with it, of course. There is probably very little you do not know about this race.

 MOOGLE
Small and cute, Moogles are fluffy creatures only a few feet tall and adorned with a red little pompom. They are the dominant species of Vaikuntha in sheer number, but for the most part do not care about getting involved in politics. The little dark wings on their back enable them to fly, and odds are that you'll see them flying around very often. Moogles are usually white, but many of them like to dye their fur. Moogles are in charge of Mognet, the favored long-distance communication method in Vaikuntha. They are the only ones who know how the network truly works. The director of Mognet is a member of the Triumvirate ruling over Oktavia.

 LALAFELL
Beings who resemble children in size, Lalafells do not physically age the way humas do, and are often older than they look. Most of them take on mage-class Jobs, as their kind excel in magic. Male Lalafell have first identical syllable names (eg, Lolorito) whilst female Lalafell names end with repeated syllables (eg, Lumomo). Lalafell are the second most present species in Vaikuntha, only surpassed by Moogles in sheer number. Scholarly, they are also masters of trade, surpassed only by the Bangaa in this domain.

 HYPELLO
Hypello are an amphibian people who are found mostly in the kingdom of Myste Aurica. They speak their own language but know how to speak the common tongue-- With a twist. They lisp any words with an s, so that "say" becomes "shay." Their accent may sound like gibberish sometimes, which makes it quite hard to understand them. Hypello, like most Moogles, have no interest in politics, but they are in charge of transports. They control Neo Shoopuf Airline, as well as a special Shoopuf line of transport for underwater trips.

 ELEZEN
Elezen are similar to Elves from various legends and are better than humans with magic-based Jobs. However, their lifespan is usually identical to that of Humans. They are very versatile and are known to work alongside humans in harmony. Legends say their pointed ears allowed them to communicate with the gods. However, some say the legend was fabricated by Elezen to give themselves some mystical qualities. Truly, none know.

 ZORA
It is said the Zora didn't originate from Vaikuntha. Along with the PuPu, legends said their ancestors came from the Dream Width. Long ago, a Zora Prince and a Zora Princess were rescued from the Dream Width, and they started the Zora lineage everyone knows today. Beyond legends, the Zora are the most magically-attuned species in the world, surpassing even Lalafells. Due to their affinity with water, they even have colonized the world beneath the sea and created bubble-settlements.
|
 BANGAA
The Bangaa are a lizard-like race. Like the Hypellos, they are very different from the other species. In particular, their sense of smell and hearing are exceptionally sharp. They are physically powerful and tend to specialize in physical Jobs, leaving the magic-based ones to other species. They are a rather proud people that doesn't meddle with politics that much. Their home is Kiddilon, and they have established a thriving trade center there. Insulting them might as well result in a death sentence- anyone with a bit of wisdom will know better than to do so.
|
 PUPU
Much like the Zora, the PuPu are said to have come from the Dream Width. Rather than be rescued however, legends say their ship crashed on the planet-- It is even said they're the ones who named the Dream Width and taught the natives of Vaikuntha how to build airships to reach it.
