PREMISE

This is a legend that the people of this world have passed down since times long forgotten. The tales of a battle through which we were born.

Long ago, there existed a world cursed by an endless cycle of life and death. Weaving pain and misery in its wake, countless got caught in the cycle. People, worlds, dimensions. All whose fate got intertwined with this world died, fated to know naught but everlasting sorrow. It seemed as though the cycle would never end.

Yet...

From the ashes of all these death rose a Goddess, one who sought to end the curse. She wanted to create a world devoid of life. A world where death and life would no longer exist as concepts. She harnessed the accursed power born from the cycle and brought ruin to the world, threatening to bring all worlds together and create a singular realm where existence as we envision it would be revoked.

As the Goddess of Death's ascension was nearing, the end for all who lived was at hand...

But from across worlds and realities, heroes surfaced as if out of nowhere. Facing countless hardships and wielding light as their weapon, they pierced at the Goddess of Death's heart and put an end to her vision.

Peace returned. But the cycle was not over...

Seeing how history would repeat itself, four heroes stepped forward. They refused to allow the suffering to persist any longer and thus, they took the body of the Goddess and used her power to end the cycle. All who had died, all who had suffered, all who had lost something would be born again. Not in a world shaped by the Goddess's will, not in a world shaped by their will, but in a world that would be shaped by the will of the generations to come.

They say this is how our world was born.

Your Melodies shall be the building blocks of a new world.
And you shall be reborn as well.

Lost within memories, drifting across darkness and chaos.

Welcome to the world of Vaikuntha. How did you get there? Faint as the memories of your rescue might be, you shall find the answers you seek should you focus long enough. You were found lost and drifting in a strange space between worlds known as the Interdimensional Cloud, dubbed the "Dream Width" by the natives of this world . Prisoner of your own memories, people much like yourself stirred you from your stasis and took you to safety. And next time, perhaps you shall be the one boarding an airship to save those who are found drifting between worlds.

Natives of the planet Vaikuntha have sought to explore this "Dream Width" to find out about their own past and to advance their civilization. Rescued and brought onto this new world, your character now holds the key to the future—But the future can only be built upon the past and present. Why were you lost in the Interdimensional Cloud? What is the relationship between this strange space and the planet you are now on?

Vaikuntha appears to be a world like any other, yet the natives all seem to be looking for something. An answer to a question even they are not aware of, a void they desperately seek to fill but never can on their own. Broken souls seeking to live, but who have forgotten how to.

Will you help them or will you devote every waking moments of your life to finding a way home? Will your eyes remain fixed upon the ground to explore the world at hand, or shall they drift up to stare into space and find the secrets between the dimension between worlds?

Time Between Worlds Matters Not
What Is Billions Of Years In A World
Might Be But Instants In Another
