Chandius In Drashina (Cid) Location: Curti Center Contact: Director's Office (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 12:00, 14:00 to 19:00), Mognet (Mog Mail, anytime) Chandius, more commonly known by his initials as Cid, is the director of the Curti Center. For fifty years he rescued what few lost souls were located within the Interdimensional Cloud, including the two latest arrivals ten years ago prior to the player characters, Biggs and Wedge. Now retired from active duty, he oversees research on the Interdimensional Cloud whilst handing out licenses to those willing to explore the Interdimensional Cloud. Serious to a fault, the entirety of his life has been dedicated to unearthing the secrets behind the Interdimensional Cloud. He sees the arrival of so many lost people at once as the sign he may finally find out the truth he so covets. Biggs Darlighter Location: Curti Center Contact: Airship Hangar (Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00 to 18:00), Mognet (Mog Mail, anytime) One of the two men who was found in the Interdimensional Cloud ten years ago by Cid. He was rescued alongside Wedge and has since then been a part of the Curti Center. The two of them work together to find other people lost in the Interdimensional Cloud and rescue them when possible. He appears to be pretty determined to find a way to go back to his homeworld, to fight against an evil empire by his own admission. Wedge Antilles Location: Curti Center Contact: Airship Hangar (Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00 to 18:00), Mognet (Mog Mail, anytime) One of the two men who was found in the Interdimensional Cloud ten years ago by Cid. He was rescued alongside Biggs and has since then been a part of the Curti Center. The two of them work together to find other people lost in the Interdimensional Cloud and rescue them when possible. He appears to be pretty determined to find a way to go back to his homeworld, to fight in some kind of star war by his own admission. Jessie Gautama Location: Curti Center Contact: Assistance Office (everyday, 17:00 to 20:00), Around the Curti Center (anytime), Mognet (Mog Mail, anytime) A young woman working under Cid and set to become the next director of the Curti Center. In spite of her relatively young age, she is a prodigy who aims to become a full-fledged researcher. She is obsessed by those who were rescued from the Interdimensional Cloud—As can be attested by Biggs and Wedge who had to deal with her constant pestering for years. Doubtlessly the player characters will become the focus of her attention now that they are arriving en masse. Ganeshan Location: Curti Center Contact: Job Master's Hall (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 19:00), Mognet (Mog Mail, Instantaneous Messages, anytime) A Zora recently employed at the Curti Center to guide newcomers when it comes to Job Classes, how they work and how to get them. You won’t find anyone who knows the Job system better than he, he knows where every Guild is located and will assist the player characters if they need help to understand how Job Classes work. Under the appearance of a very serious battle-hardened Zora, Ganeshan shows glimpses of a very exciteable and fiery soul when Jobs are mastered or Custom Jobs created. Mogaruru Mogaru Location: Curti Center Contact: Mognet Office (Everyday, 07:00 to 11:45), Around the Curti Center (anytime), Mognet (Mog Mail, Instantaneous Messages, anytime) A Lalafellin woman who believes herself to be the reincarnation of a postmoogle who died before delivering his last letter. Eccentric and always dressed with a Moogle costume of some sort, Mogaruru is the Mognet representative working at the Curti Center. She hopes to find the letter her previous incarnation lost and deliver it to its recipient so she can finally achieve true inner peace. Whilst very few believe her story, she is determined to use her job as a way to settle things once and for all. Is this real or is she a lunatic?  Claire Saraswelle Location: Curti Center Record-keeping Office Contact: Front Office (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00), Mognet (Mog Mail, any time) An Elezen woman working as the accountant for the Curti Center. On top of her responsibilities, she has now to take care of keeping a list of the player characters, those who disappear, where they live and what occupation they have. What was once a boring job has become a chore, what was once a strict person has become an irritable grump. Kupoto Location: Curti Center Contact: Mognet Office (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 11:30, 15:00 to 17:30), Von Oktavia: Mognet Central (Sunday, 08:00 to 20:00), Mognet (Mog Mail, Instantaneous Messages, anytime) A young aspiring postmoogle who has yet to become an official postmoogle. He's been assigned to the Curti Center under Mogaruru's wise surveillance to learn the rope of the job. Very eager to prove himself, he is one of the most helpful people to be found in the Curti Center. His inexperience shows however and things usually go for the worse around him, an habit that will probably stick with him for life. Lady Ramaa Location: Sen Riqeaux Contact: Mognet (Mog Mail, anytime) The Empress of Sen Devadatta. She was the youngest President to be elected within the past half-century, but her mandate was interrupted when Sen Devadatta was cast into chaos by terrorist attacks. To reestablish order and safeguard the nation, the regime was shifted and she became Empress. She believes the otherworlders to be the legendary Heroes of Light who felled the Goddess of Death spoken of in the legends and the only hope to stop Bahamut from destroying the world. Meghamaal Location: Ardynia Contact: Mognet (Mog Mail, Monday to Friday) An older man who has known the Empress since she was a child and is thought by many to be something of a father figure to her. As the Imperial Prime Minister, he is usually the go-to person for people who need to make their grievances known. He is by far kinder than Balahaka and shares the Empress's hope in the Heroes of Light. Balahaka Location: Parasraya Contact: Mognet (Mog Mail, Sunday) The commander of the imperial army and a former politic who lost three elections in a row. He is a cynical man who wonders days after days what he has done to deserve his lot in life. His lot in life being to live in a city that has been invaded by cats. Unlike Meghamaal, he didn't know anything about Ramaa prior to her election. He isn't very hopeful about Bahamut and sees the Calamity as a chance to rid his city from the cats. It's only unfortunate it will kill him as well in the process. The Triumvirat Location: Von Oktavia Contact: Mognet (Mog Mail, anytime) The governing body of Von Oktavia. The Moogle Mograna is the director of Mognet and said to be the richest person in all of Vaikuntha. The Lalafell Renalulo handles all the construction and economic movement across the Oktavian cities. The PuPu Ilas owns Pupuland and ever strives to make more interesting attractions for everyone. Some people have been talking about this girl they've seen. From what they claim, none of our staff have noticed a little blonde girl walking around when they arrived. She also left some drawings that I've saved on my own iMog; could I be referred to the best comprehensive source of our world origin histories so I can share my findings? That seems to be what their theory is banking on, that Vaikuntha is linked to these drawings. I know, it's kind of weird to believe a cryptic girl that we're not sure exists but... they're very serious about this. Also, we need a boost in security if she was a trespasser like our familiar moogle.

Cid will say he'll pass along the girl's description to the other NPCs and employees so they can be on the watch in case they spot her. Regarding the boost in security, Cid will mention it'll happen when they'll get a boost in funding. As it is, they have to choose between hiring more guards or keeping the newcomers fed and housed. They have to do with what they have until the newcomers move out. He'll suggest Sakuya encourage them to move out whenever they can so money can flow back.

Cid will direct Sakuya to the libraries in Arito, where he will find the creation myth (see the Premise). He'll be very doubtful about any link between the girl's drawings and the history of Vaikuntha.

Okuyasu brings Stray Cat to the Curti Center as part of his request. He wants to help out with exploring the Dream Width, but then he'd leave his cat plant alone for days. All he asks is that someone give it food every day and provide toys, and since Stay Cat is unable to move from its pot, they don't have to be concerned about it getting into dangerous places.

On a more serious note, he asks if there's a bank that she recommends, since he has some money from fighting monsters and wants to put it somewhere safe.

Message: Tensions are running really high between the otherworlders and the Center, as made evident by the employees’ recent effort to reach out. People complain about the lack of transparency and urge to reveal the results of the experiments. Due to their contractual obligations, the Natives are obviously not allowed to disclose such information, which is why he’s requesting that the Center releases an official statement and/or provides them with necessary instructions on how to respond in such situations. They’re running their customer service line at this point.

Cid and Jessie will both reply to the request. Cid allows Lean and the other natives to share former publications, they can be found in the library and are open to all. Current research can't be published out of scientific integrity, but seeing how there are so many newcomers and this is a situation they have never dealt with before, he is going to work on a way so the newcomers can work with the Curti Center if they so wish and access all research in the process.

Jessie on her end will mention she'll post on Mognet sometimes in the course of July to try and speak with the newcomers and ease tension, hoping the retreat will help with that as well.

He's aware of some foods that are common amongst the outworlders but not Vaikunthans, and it'll probably be comforting to see familiar stuff! Like pizza. Let him make pizzas. If they're not on board with the idea at first he'll beg and offer to whip up some other-dimensional delicacies for them to taste-test. Heck, he'd even send them some food if they okayed it from the getgo.

The new employment options will be made available in August, so it's faster for Hunk to wait for it to be done and apply for a position as cook. She'll make sure to add a cook options in the job option as soon as it'll be ready!

Uendo comes seeking Ramuh's wisdom regarding the situation with Bahamut. For one, he's hoping for confirmation that Bahamut is indeed being summoned as Empress Ramaa claimed. Secondly, he'd like to hear whether Ramuh has any idea where the summoner might be, or if he can give any advice on how they could be found.

If Ramuh is willing to stick around long enough for Uendo to ask about the locations of the other four Legendary Eidolons, all the better! But finding and stopping Bahamut's summoner takes priority.

A dark storm appears overhead as Uendo calls Ramuh forth. Sensing that there is no battle raging, the summon appears in the form of a shrouded old man, rather than his full Eidolon form. Give that he is a master, but not a supreme master summoner, some of Ramuh's crackle with static, but his words are mostly understandable. Yes, a storm approaches, he confirms. The black clouds above form the shape of a dragon, rumbling with thunder. No, we Eidolons sense the presence of our kind in the unseen world, but we are not given to know how and when the others move on this limited, mortal plane.

The only other piece of information he can offer is this- summoning Bahamut is a complicated ritual, and it would be disrupted and delayed if the summoner was to move constantly. For that reason, he believes the summoner or summoners will stay around the same area where the ritual began, rather than traveling from country to country.

At this moment, she isn't asking about if Leviathan might know how to summon any of them, but if she could tell Naoto any other details about them at all since their information just seems lost to the times.

Given that Naoto is not yet a master Summoner, the conversation between Naoto and Leviathan will have some moments of static. Still, given that Naoto was present at her rediscovery, Leviathan will at least try to make herself understood. Uendo's looking into potential locations to investigate to help deal with the whole Bahamut situation and there's one place he's wondering about: Hope's Peak in the Republic of Safer. It's apparently important enough to be marked on the world map but none of the information pamphlets provided by Curti Center mention anything about it. Might Jessie know what this place is, or at least point him in the direction of someone who could tell him about it?

Jessie will say as far as she knows, Hope's Peak is the world's highest mountain. It was named as such due to the hopes harbored by those who tried to climb it, but proved to be very treacherous as no one ever returned alive from attempts to reach the summit. She's never heard of it being related to Eidolons, but she doesn't really know much more. She'll say people at Tark Varentain or at the Armstrong Fort maybe know more.

Message: Orcelito wants to know if Goodnight Eidolons by "Mai Piname" is familiar to anyone. The pen name isn't much to go on, but he hopes someone might recognize the style of the illustrations or verse. He'll start by asking the library employees if they've heard of it, and show them a portion of the scan if they're interested (only the first page.)

His main questions will be:
Do you know if there's a copy in your archives?
Do you know who this author is, and if they wrote anything else?

The library staff knows of a couple of other children's books written by the same author -Fly, PuPu, Fly and The Little Magitek That Could are the two that were in widest circulation, but none of them ever gained much notice and zero literary acclaim.

As for Goodnight Eidolons, a couple of the librarians will look into it, but they have not heard of it before. It appears to have been an early work that had an extremely limited print run. And you know how hard children can be on their books...it could be extremely hard to track down a copy in better repair.

Message: A little birdie named Kupoto told Futaba that Mogaru was the person to talk to about maybe trying to visit Mognet HQ proper, and also that the permission of the Triumvate may be involved. She wants to find out what she'd need to do to make it happen. Not immediately necessarily (and OOCly I'd prefer it not be immediately, haha), but still.

Mogaruru shuffles around the hallways with a stack of documents in her hands and her Slate in her side pouch. Her head mask tilts upward to look at Futaba (at least, that's what it seems like.) She mentions that private visits are very difficult, especially considering that like the governmental buildings of Von Oktavia, the Mognet Center was not designed for creatures larger than a Moogle to navigate as security measures, but they do have wings where the larger tourists are able to visit exhibits and get a glimpse of the interior, kupo.

The Triumvirate's permission is necessary as it's a high-security building, allowing nothing to harm this major tenant of society apart from glitches and overeager Moogles (Kupoto is still banned from touching the code). But seeing that the outworlders may help with the Bahamut issue, she'll see if she can get in a word with them the next time she is able to speak with them. What would help is reasoning for a visit other than curiosity, but she tells Futaba not to stress her head about that part.

Uendo has a couple of questions related to the Bahamut problem:

1) Would the summoner responsible for Bahamut's summoning have had to get their Job asterisk from the guild like everyone else, or could they have gotten it through some other means? Like a black market?

2) Does the guild have any information on special summoning rituals outside of what summoners normally do in battle? Anything that could have led the culprit to discover how to summon Bahamut, for instance?

1) A Black Market can't be ruled out. While they are very careful when it comes to Asterisks and who got access to them, it wouldn't be impossible for one to have found Asterisks from a long time ago or smuggled some out. They'd have to check the records and if anywhere, Kiddilon is where the trading would happen.

2) The High Summoning skill is the likeliest way for one to summon Bahamut or any of the Legendary Eidolon— If anyone knew where they are and could contact them. Summoning such an Eidolon with the Supreme Skill shouldn't take a year. Bahamut, however, is a very special case. If the Legends are correct and he's been infused with the Goddess of Death's powers, there is no saying how rules apply to him.

I'm sorry to bother you about this, but I may have a lead on the hacker who infiltrated the Heroes of Light linkshell a few months ago and is probably connected to the summoning of Bahamut. They claimed that they were an Onion Knight, which, as far as I know, is a title that can only be achieved through official Mognet channels. Another Onion Knight claims that his name was added to the registry once he gained his title, so I was wondering if I could take a look at this registry to try and find candidates for the hacker. Thank you for reaching out to us. I believe I recall a report on a hacker at the Curti Center some time ago, but we get so many notifs that some of the details I remember are a bit hazy.

Onion Knight is both a title awarded by the Guilds and Mognet, though the former holds more weight, and the list at Mognet Central is more of a registry. It is against our company policy to release private information about our users (please research the lawsuit from 30 years ago, "Mognet vs. Safer Osu" for more details), so I cannot share the full list without every member's signed permission.

However, I am open to inviting the outworlders for a visit in the New Year. Mogaruru has been quite insistent on giving you a tour and we can discuss matters then. Ilas and Renalulo will be kept informed.

The Illusionist Guildmasters will reply they've never heard of the Temple of Zodiark. They'll mention that Cloud City was once an island and that there were the ruins of a Temple worshiping an unknown Eidolon upon that island. The ruins of that temple were used as the basis to build the flight mechanisms to elevate the island and allow it to float up in the sky. If anything is left of that temple, that's probably a part of the city's flight mechanisms.
