Sen Riqeaux is the Capital of the Empire. Most of this city was built atop ruins, and today it is a hybrid of classic constructions and more basic constructions made by the people of Sen Riqeaux. The city was once a place where many people used to go and stay for business or adventure, but no more since the Empire closed its borders. Nowadays, it is something of a mystery as no one know what has happened in these past ten years. And surprisingly, the city hasn't changed all that much. Divided into fifteen districts, the city and its castle offer everything needed to live.

FIRST DISTRICT – THE CASTLE Located next to the center of the city, this district encompasses Sen Riqeaux's Castle. It is said the castle was built atop ruins dating back to an era predating even recorded history, and not even the people working at the castle know exactly what secrets are kept within the confine of this castle. This is where the Empress, the Prime Minister and the Commandant of Armies work and live. Most administrative and legal matters are taken care of in this castle. It is closed to the public and to the player characters.

SECOND DISTRICT – PRIVATE RESIDENCES The second district is a residential area. Located directly in the vicinity of the castle, residences here are small palaces in themselves. This is by far the most luxurious residential area in the city. Yet, while most houses are inhabited, the people living there don't seem to be very active or happy... There is a strange sorrow lingering in the air.

THIRD DISTRICT – HISTORICAL CENTER Located in the center of the city, the third district is the historical center where sits the statue of a woman wearing a laboratory coat and surrounded by four black crystal. It is of recent construction and somewhat abstract, so it's not clear who or what that statue is supposed to represent. It is also pretty recent: there was once a monument to crystals there, but it was destroyed during the terrorist attacks ten years ago. Surrounding the Statue are libraries and museums, all dedicated to the History of the Empire and Vaikuntha.

FOURTH DISTRICT – OBSERVATORIES This district is home to an observatory from where the Twin Moons can be observed quite closely. There is a second observatory built to observe the Dream Width specifically, but it is closed off and require permission from the Castle to enter.

FIFTH DISTRICT – HOSPITAL This district is home to the hospital of Sen Riqeaux. White Mages and Chemists work there, as well as some Scholars, Astrologians and Time Mages. It is a very busy hospital, though well-staffed, with the mental health section being the busiest one. Jobs are of no use in this section where specialists of the psyche work to help people fight their inner demons and fears.

SIXTH DISTRICT – MAGITEK RESEARCH A Magitek Research Facility can be found in this district. However, none know what hides beneath the closed door of the facility. The Lalafell in charge of it is said to be a very stern and serious woman with little love of conversations and even less love for people barging in and disrupting her research.

SEVENTH DISTRICT – SCIENTIFIC DISTRICT Whilst seen from the outside this district is no different from the other districts. Yet, the insides of the buildings are nothing less than a haven for researchers. As such, it is nicknamed "the scientific district". There are many scientific establishments here, though most of are closed to the public.

EIGHT DISTRICT – SCHOOLS In this district can be found schools where the children of Sen Riqeaux go. There is also an University, as well as the Guilds of Sen Riqeaux. Noticeably there is a potion seller by the universities selling special potions to help students relax. The rate of depression around this part of the city is noticeably higher than elsewhere.

NINTH DISTRICT – MOGNET OFFICE This district houses the Mognet Office of Sen Riqeaux. Moogles fly all over this district, rushing in and out of the Mognet Office. It also houses most of the Moogle population of Sen Riqeaux. The Mognet Office is normally closed to public, but Moogles can easily be bought with a few Kupo Nuts, in case anyone really wishes to visit the office. It is comparable to a very busy and active post office.

TENTH DISTRICT – BLITZBALL STADIUM & SPORTS This district is dedicated to Sports of any kind. There is a Blitzball Stadium in the heart of this district, where there are games every Tuesday evening. When not used for Blitzball, the stadium is used for other sports as well.

ELEVENTH DISTRICT – GRAVEYARD Once upon a time, this district was a second residential district. But after all adventurers left and could no longer return due to the borders being closed, it was razed to the ground and made into a graveyard instead. Surprisingly enough, there are no names on any of the graves.

TWELFTH DISTRICT – AIRSHIP PORT This district is where Airships are come and go. Most likely the first place any newcomers will see! It is quite busy and mostly handled by Hypellos.

THIRTEENTH DISTRICT – MONUMENT This district houses two churches, one of them dedicated to Eidolons, whilst the other one doesn't seem to be dedicated to anything in particular. In the middle of the district, there is a fifteen-foot tall statue. It depicts four people, though the statue was recently vandalized and their heads are cut off, rocks on the ground all that's left of it. They seem to be in a fighting stance and are holding a Crystal in their right hand. The inscription at the foot of the statue reads "With Them Ended The Final Fantasy."

FOURTEENTH DISTRICT – RESIDENTIAL AREA Located on the city's outskirts, this district was where most adventurers who passed by the city met and stopped to gather information. People who didn't plan on staying in Sen Riqeaux beyond a few nights generally stayed here. However, nowadays it isn't frequented half as much due to the borders being closed. All the houses and buildings are abandoned, yet all of them are well kept. Why, it's as if they are just about ready to receive new owners!

FIFTEENTH DISTRICT – PARKING AREA Prior to becoming Empress, Lady Ramaa had started the construction of a fifteenth district that was to be more grandiose than any before. But in the wake of the terrorist attacks, the project was delayed as Sen Devadatta became an Empire. And when work began on the fifteenth district again, the original architect had already left. A talented new architect from Ardynia and his team were brought to work on the abandoned district. Alas, all the skills in the world couldn't make a diamond out of that mess. Eventually, they gave up on the plans of grandeur and settled upon making it into a parking lot for transportation methods other than airships. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful and well-made parking lot you've ever seen! Quite often, people passing by wonder what could have been if the original project had concluded...
