The Koopa King’s shell becomes sphere-shaped and protects the King. Any melee attack against the Koopa King or otherwise physically touching the spikes of the shell will result in weak physical damage to whoever touched the shell. Furthermore, any attack used against a Koopa King in this state will be reduced by 50%. The Koopa King can move while in this state, and can perform a strong physical attack against anyone it hits.
